Miami

We are in Miami. So, it feels just like Panama and dinner still had to be ordered in Spanish/English. We just missed our Panama family very much. Cool thing...when at the airport the soccer team from Panama arrived at the airport. How cool is that? And it was a loud celebration! Keep checking for blogs. Really it might take me a week to tell you all the things we have done, seen, learned and God has blessed. Ya!

Dear Tim, We had a great day in the City. Your family, the Translators and Tina and yourself were so great. I know it was a long day. We are grateful for you all. We loved all the sites a s fun. The top picture is a picture of a little boy we learned today does not speak and cannot hear...but, he always knows what we are saying, we can tell what he is saying and he is sooo funny and sweet! Day 3

Hola!!! As I sit here tonight it is hard for me to know exactly what to tell you. There are so many kids, so many details and so many blessings it is hard to wrap it up into one blessings...it will take me a year over time to share all the things I have taken in. So, I am going to tell you for the most part what today held and give a few points of things kids shared today. We started our day at McDonalds, headed to the site...Once at the site we set up, wait for the memebers of La Boca Baptist Church...they run on another time...late! So, crazy! In a hurry when driving....major slow every where else! Anyway, we sing songs, Jonathan and Chad teach the bible story then we divied up into groups and do other things...today we split up girls and boys...the boys went down to the soccer field and the girls stayed and we painted their nails...what a blessing...I can't tell you one thing about the boys because I didn't go down there..I think they had a blast. But, as for the girls it was so much fun. They would have you paint their nails...look at them and then run to Rodney who became the polish remover and then went to get a different color put on...it was so cute and fun to see this take place. The mothers wanted their's painted just as bad. God worked in our kids lives today. They served more and steped out of their comfort zone...it was so cool to see. During the worship part the kids sang "I can sing of your love forever" in Spanish of course but it was amazing. Tears just ran down my face as I thought to myself...this is what Heaven will be like...all singing to the same ONE God! Amazing. What touched my heart the most is that Chad and I have prayed and prayed over the last year for the kids we would have to work with, the people on our team and the Louderback's and their team here. This group could not have been any better. I tell you I want to bring them all home with us. I would stay here however, I miss Kaileigh and sonic! :) I love these people. They make my heart smile. I am excited (for the most part) to wake up at 5:20am. I am happy to sweat alongside of these people sharing all God had planned for us to do. But, the biggest blessing is seeing first hand God fulfilling the exact things we have prayed for is for our Lockney students to see God's hand a work, to be a part of that and to step out in faith and serve. And he has. He has given these kids a heart for missions, he has given these kids a heart for people, he has given this kids a heart to share Jesus. In the over 10 years of working with youth this is the biggest blessing I have gotten to see first hand. I cannot expalin how it feels. So, cool. and I am so grateful! Tonight we had a great time fellowshiping during supper. A little side show from Noah...in the middle of the street and just talking about our day. Thanks for checking in on us. Tomorrow is our last day on the site. We will see the Canal tomorrow. Us from Lockney are the only one's excited about this :) It will be fun. Here are so pictures. Chow,

Day 2

We had 50 kids this morning and about 80 this afternoon. Much smaller but just as big of a blessing. I had a hard time getting online today. So sorry for the lack of details today. I will make a few points however and a few things to pray for. -- a market was in town that only sets up once a month. We think this might have been the reason for less kids. -- Our kids are rock stars. They are great. --Rodney's camera is a hit. --kids are amazes how tall chad is. --the loved the parachute --Chad is preaching at la boca baptist church Sunday Prayers -- Tomorrow a water truck is suppose to come in across from where we are working. Pray this will be a blessing and not cause issues with what we are doing. A very large number of people in this area have no water. -- Our team will stand firm and love on these kids and show them Jesus. -- energy. Day 3 they will be tired. -- Translators. 2 of them are leaving us tomorrow for a mission trip pray they will be used and blessed. They sure have been a blessing to us. Check out Facebook too.

Day 1

Not only is this day one but it was an amazing day...let me point out a few things before I get too far into this... --I am on the hotel computer because it is much faster for me to type than on my iPad --All the log on stuff even on my blog is in Spanish....tricky! The day started at 6:15am We met Tim and Tina in the lobby to get some info and head to breakfast. We met and visited for a few and then started to walk to McDonalds. I am guessing it would be about 4 blocks. We got to McDonalds where Tim and Tina helped us order breakfast...In Panama they do not have biscuits. It is English Muffins other than that for the most part the menú is the same. After we ate breakfast we headed to the bus. Not a bus like what you would think but it has gotten us every where we have needed to go. And the best part...it has AC. As we headed to the site we were reminded that Panama drives....well they just go fast and stop fast :) As we got closer to the site we saw a lot of trash. A Little futher down the road we saw that it was a dump ground. So, to sum it up for you we are working with people that live in a dump ground. They are the sweetest kids and want to be loved! We have had a great time loving on them today. These are people that don't have wáter, their houses are not finished missing doors, Windows and even roofs. All of their belongs come from the trash ground. They mostly wear clothes that have came form the grounds. The kids have school at this time of the year. The "summer" time for them is the dry season which I think is Feb. and March. We had crafts picked out for today. We were planning on 50 kids in each sessions (9-11, 1-3) From 9-11 we had 98 kids and from 1-3 we had over 200 kids. To say the list we were shocked...and over whelmed at the same time. We did get a craft time done in the first session but it used all of our supplies up. The afternoon we had color sheets and you would have thought we gave those kids 100.00 they were so excited. During rec. time we just played games, baseball, football and such. It was great! We are so thankful for the Louderback's they have been such a blessing and so much fun. The translators have been so much fun and we all agreed tonight they have won our hearts. We love each one of them! We are so excited for what God has in store for us seeing this is only day one. The translators have been so wonderful to just jump in a do whatever. They are leading the music part of our day and doing a great job! It is such a blessing to my heart! They are wonderful! After we cleaned up for our camp we headed back to the hotel and just had a group time. It is always so fun to hear what everyone took away from the day. Supper tonight was at Don Lee's...chinese food. hmmm...not bad. Everyone is widing down and headed to bed soon. We start back tomorrow at 7am. It is fun...my heart is over joyed and I cannot wait to see how God Works tomorrow. What to pray for... -- The people in the área we are working in. They will be more open to us being there to work with their kids -- Rest for our group -- Rain will hold off till after 3:00pm Inside Look...it is hot :) not hot but wet...you step outside and you are covered in sweat. People here do not have AC in their homes. We "Americans" are spolied! Parents...Rodney is taking good care of us all...all kids are drinking lots and he is taking care of us all... Do to the lack of my Spanish and the computer all being in spanish in order to upload my pictuers. I will have to upload pictures to Facebook. I will work on this again tomorrow. I need my bed! We Made It

We made it!!! We were met at the airport by Tim, Trinity, Noah, the Pastor of the church and Translators. We are sooo very excited to work along side this bunch of great folks! Here is what we have learned in an hour ---driving here is way different - quick stops, and fast! ---everything is in the metric system ---Diet Coke is Coke Light We only ventured out to the little store. Very nice people run that. But a very enlightening experience. Parents...all kids made it. Wifi is available at the hotel! And the people at the hotel mostly speak English. We are so very excited about tomorrow. Please pray for comfort, and open minds. Tomorrow is going to be exciting! We are beat. Lots more tomorrow. Not sure how to load pictures on here just yet. Day One...Take Off and Landing

Good morning sweet friends and Prayer warriors. What a very exciting day we have in front of us. We will be leaving Lockney around 7am and then leaving Lubbock about 9:30am. We will arrive Panama after 2 layovers...one in Dallas and one in Miami. We will arrive in Panama around 8:30pm. Please pray for -those that are afraid of flying -our loved ones that are staying in the USA -our protection -pilots and airline staff -for no delays -and a great day of fellowship as we travel -it will be a long day so please pray for renewed rest and understanding. we would like to thank our church family and community for all the support in Rasing the funds to be able to do this. To the sweet ladies for providing us breakfast this morning and to our families for walking this road with us. We know God has wonderful things in store. Love to each of you!
