Marj's Wedding

This last weekend Kalebh and I were invited to go to my cousin's wedding in Little Rock. We loaded up and off we went. Kalebh and I flew from LBK to Little Rock we stopped in Dallas. When we landed in Dallas Kalebh said...."I don't care if we EVER do that again!" But, we made it the rest of the way just fine. Kalebh was great we couldn't have asked for him to be any better. He was great, good looking and funny all weekend long. Here are a few pictures of him.

Erin Bailey Laird....the best part of the weekend...here are a few pictures we took. I cannot post all of them on here because or memory but I will post them on Facebook so check them out there...these are just our favorite. She is so cute and funny! Love that little girl!!!

My Cousin Jamie did Marj's wedding cake and she did a WONDERFUL job...I was so proud of her!

Mother's Day

Why is it on these days do we think about all the special people in our lives? I was accused of being mushy by my sister today so I guess if you don't want to read "mushy-ness" you should pass on this blog.

Mom -- I love you so much. I remember rocking in that ugly orange chair until my feet hit the ground and Grandpa would make fun of you for rocking me...and the time we were rocking and the bird flew in the fireplace and you had to call day to come home from work to get it out....the times you were working evenings teaching nursing and didn't have much time at home but you would make it a point to pick me up from school to go get a snack before you went to work. To the times you would take me to work with you when you worked across town to allow us to have all the wonderful things we wanted. I see know how tired and hard you worked and thank you for doing that for us. I could list many memories but the thing I want you to know is...thank you for loving me when I wasn't loveable, thank you for always listening to me but more than all of those things thank you for teaching me that sometimes all we can do is look at a situation and laugh. Today that is how I deal with stress and fear and it helps me from many things. You have shown me who Christ is and what he should be in our lives. You have shown me what it is to follow him and thank you for that. Thank you for loving Daddy and staying together and showing me what love really is. I love you forever!

Granny -- You are the best example any grand-daughter could ask for. You have shown us what it is to pray for your family and to talk with the Lord. You have shown us how we are to live and love. Your kids my aunt, uncle and Dad are so blessed to have you and in return I am blessed. I love you forever I like you forever....thank you for loving us! We are all thankful for the time Poppie had here on earth but we all miss him...he would be so proud of the Mother you have been even after he was called home. I love you.

Aj -- The newest Mother....whew....I didn't think you were going to do it!! But THANK goodness you did...you have the sweetest cutiest little girl...I love her so much and can't wait to see her.....however I will say no more to you because you called me mushy....

Edith -- Mother-in-law...that sounds so....not us.....thank gooness I thank God for our relationship and thank you for taking me as your own. I love talks and you have taught me so many things about life. You are the strongest women I know and I pray I can be half as srong as you are. YOu never let anything stop you and I prais God for the Son you raised. I love you and thanks for loving me even when it isn't easy.

Susan -- Susan...I know you have Terry and we are so thankful for that...But thank you for taking me in. Tom and you loved me as your own for so many years. From taking care of me when MOm and Dad were gone to checking on me every so often. I love you very much and thank you for never giving up on me. You are an amazing women that works too much but you love what you do and you want to make a difference in the lives of your stuendts. I hope they relize what a wonderful lady they have. I love you very much and I am so greatful to have you in my life! Is it 8:30?

Kaci -- Next year you will have a sweet little one to love and celelbrate with and I cannot wait!

Chad -- I know you are no mother! But, thank you for allowing me to be the mother of your children. I love my life and that is because the 3 of you make it so much fun. Thanks for breakfast this morning and the cards and braclet. You always think of me and put us before yourself. Thank you for loving me even when it isn't easy...oh and thanks for being such a great Cook!!! :)

Above all...thank you Lord Jesus for allowing me to be a mother. I ask that you show me that way to lead these little ones that they may follow you all their days. That I will show them who you are and who you want them to be. Thank you for trusting them to me even when I don't think I can do it and be with each of them as they grow in your ways. I love you. Amen

I love you all,
