Crazy Sock Day....And I mean CRAZY!!!

It is Wednesday...and I have been asking myself all day...isn't it Friday. This is really sad for someone that only works 3 days a week :) Oh well...here is the picture of me and Kalebh in our crazy socks...and a picture of Kaileigh looking very cute for church tonight. She is so sweet. She has made me laugh all day just by being her happy self (most of the time).
Kalebh -- oh goodness...Kalebh...He came home and said he was good ALL day today except when he (and all the other kinder. boys got sent to the principals office) Chad stops and says...What?? Kalebh proceeds to tell us that ALL the boys had to go to the office for a talk about NOT hitting in the private parts. Chad got a big kick out of this. It turns out Kalebh had nothing to do with it but other boys were so...Also on the way home from church Chad stayed to visit with a family and Kalebh is asking what I made for supper and I said nothing...he said WHAT??? That is what ladies are suppose to do...cook....poor kid...he almost got his first slap from his momma!!! And last I over hear Kalebh at school telling another boy that Phil Cotham (who is a friend of our families and happens to be the Superintendent of the school system)is HIS best friend!!! Too funny! That stinker.
Katie -- My week is a little wild but will be MUCH better next weekend. I found help for a project I have due next week!! Things will slow down won't they?
Friday is wear costumes to school day...yippee! So once that is over it has to be better.
Chad-- is really starting to get busy he is glad just hopes some of the cotton is good. We know God has everything in his hands.
Please pray this week for my sister Aj..and her husband Bobby some times life weighs so much on you that you don't think you are going to make it. It really breaks my heart to see her hurt so much. I know that God will bring her the comfort that she needs. Also, pray for Kalebh's teacher Mrs. Hunter. She lost her son about 2 months ago. He passed away due to injures from fighting in Iraq.
Love you all!!!

Western Day Yehawww!!

This week is red ribbon week. Yesterday was camo day, today is Western Day. So...I had class till 9:30 last night and when I got out I called Chad. He said that Kalebh had a melt down because his cowboy boots don't fit any more. SO I ran into Walmart at 9:30 and found some boots. Cheesy but they were boots. So I was the hero last night! Kalebh out out of bed this morning with no trouble at all. He was really looking forward to this day. Kaileigh on the other hand last night found a dress that she HAD to put on. Well, the boys were working on homework and she found the cowboy hat. So as you can see she was enjoying Western Day at school too. So between Drug Free week and Halloween I am grateful I only work 3 days a week.
This week is finals for my online classes so I have sold my soul to the computer and business department for the week. I hope to have it back by the weekend. The weekend will be full of "Fall Fun" we have a fall fest. at the school Sat. that my mother-in-law has been a life saver with!!! And then we are getting ready for another big youth fundraiser next weekend. If life isn't busy we aren't living I guess. Well, it is back to homework and get stuff out for supper. Thank goodness tomorrow is just crazy sock day. Kalebh is set that he is going to wear one of his dads socks and one of his own. I on the other hand found the most WILD socks that I will be wearing along with my good friend Haley...every excited! Pictures of that to come...maybe!

Time Flies

Wow...how time flies. I am shocked every time I look at Kalebh and think...where has the 5 years gone...and Kaileigh the same thing. I really feel like I just had her. Well there is alot to cover. Thanks to my best friend Kaci I noticed I have left a few deals out.
Chad -- He went to a specialist just to keep an eye on his blood sugar. Nothing was wrong we just wanted to get to a specialist to keep anything from going wrong. He got all his blood work back in today and he is in better shape than he thought. It said his fasting sugar was a little high but not too bad. We will be starting an "eating plan" Monday that the doctor gave us. It will be good for both of us. We will have to plan ahead and that will be the hardest part..and the holidays :)
Job -- We are NOT moving. Chad got offered a job in Dumas Texas and he went and interviewed for it and he just didn't have a peace about it. He said he would rather scoop poop than have that job so that is out. During this time I realized alot of things about myself. I am not as flexible about change as I would like to think that I am. We are a family and have to all give a little. But, that Chad loves me no matter what and that even when I am a "cry baby" he still looks at me and smiles.
Kaci -- Kaci is moving from Roswell to Amarillo and I CANNOT wait to have her closer to me :)
Aj -- She is doing okay. Keep praying for her. Life sometimes gives us things we don't think we can handle until we stop and remember that God is in control and sees the whole picture.
Well, our kids are back home they have been with Chad's sister for the weekend. I slept till 10am and then took at nap at 1. It was really nice. Chad took me out to eat to this great place in Lubbock and I loved it. He got me a bracelet from James Avery that I have been wanting for some time. 6 years...wow!!! Tonight coming back from Lubbock I wanted a coke from Sonic...and I said after 6 years you will still stop any time I want a coke....he said once a brat always a brat...can't change that :) I have finals this week for my 3 online classes so pray....HARD! I will be a little stressed but then it will be over!
Happy Saturday night.

Dress up/shot day

Day two...Are you proud? I am off to a good start!!! Well, today Kaieligh got her 15 month shots. She was so good. But, once she had her two shots and the nurse tried to make friends with her she let her have an ear full. Poor Kailiegh. I felt so sorry for her. After her appointment she went with her Daddy on to her Papa's house (right where she wanted to be.) I went on and got a pedicure (took one for the team) and to Sams...see I earned it! Anyway...Kalebh came home today and didn't get in trouble. Wahoo! We have had a really nice night just at home. We had NO where we had to go tonight and we have just stayed at home. I was going to work on a few Christmas stuff and haven't even lifted a finger.
The kids are going for a sleep over tomorrow night to Chad's sisters so it will be nice to get to sleep in on Saturday. I can't wait.
Tonight we tried on Kaileigh's costume for Halloween and here is a picture of it. I have to get a black shirt to go under it but she is still soo cute.
Tomorrow Chad sees the specialist so we are both anxious about that. I think it will be good. I haven't heard one bad thing about this Doctor. So say a little prayer for him in the morning...Pray for me too. I have to get up at 5am! Yikes!
I hope you all enjoy my blogging. I am sure it is boring to some...but you know...I live for boring days the older I get.

Blog Make-over

So I got a blog make-over. I am so excited. I hope to learn more about this and put pictures up of the kids and things like that. We will see.
Today was a good day. Kind of wild but Wednesday always are. Kalebh got in trouble at school today. He decided that playing during play time was a lot more fun than sitting in and doing your school work. So he had to learn a lesson the hard way. He missed out on playing Wii all evening.
Yesterday he came home with a note from school about next weeks drug free week. Not only did he bring one note home...he had 4. Chad asked him "Kalebh were you supposed to take one and pass the others around?" Kalebh then said..."Oh shoot!!" So today he came home to report that he gave the notes to the rest of his table without the teach knowing. How fun life is going to be with my two children. The younger child has learned to say no and she thinks it is so funny. Today for breakfast Juanita feed her....are you ready for this??? Slaw and apple...I will never understand her. Well, Chad and Kaileigh are out for a drive and I am off to get ready for bed. Tomorrow is 15 month shots and shopping in Lubbock.
Goodnight!

Note: here is a picture of Kalebh on his first day of school and of Kaileigh eating an ice cream sandwich.

Family Family and more Family

Well, to say this weekend was full of family!!! ALL of my family was in. My sister and brother in law, mom and dad and my grandma. I sure was alot of fun but to say the least it was a full and load weekend. We have a good time but I am completly tired! Aj and Bobby lost their home in Ike and they are slowly starting to deal with things and gathering stuff to make another home. They are doing a lot better than I would have that is for sure. I traded my days off this week so I will be working two days in a row on top of being so tired but I will make it. Seeing Granny for the last week was so nice. She was a huge help getting daily things around the house done. But, she is starting to slow down and it is showing. Just makes me really said. On top of of the family this weekend Chad got a job offer and we are praying and thinking and talking/crying about it. We just pray God's will be done. Well, i am off to my Monday night class.
