Kalebh's been dunked!

Today was such a sweet and special day for us. Kalebh was baptized and my Dad had the honor of doing it. We had 3 pews of family there for his special day and it means the world to us that all our friends and family made it a priority to be here. Such a sweet time. Chad also got to preach as well. The only thing missing was my sweet sister!

Aj is doing better and Bailey will go back home to her Momma and Daddy next Saturday. Everyone is ready! Once Aj gets those drains out she will be clear for Bailey girl! Here are a few pictures of our special day. Keep watch for another post this week with all the details and pictures from the Halloween weekend and the week with Bailey...I am too pooped to do it today...but soon...I promise! If you have Facebook feel free to look on there at all the wonderful fun pictures!

Whew...I am one tired girl!

Okay where to start...just brace yourself this is going to be a LOOOONG blog...got alot to cover.
Let's go back to Thursday...I woke up and as I have a bad habit of doing I logged on and checked facebook to find out that our pastor's wife was in the hospital having a lot of pain. Well long story short they have no family in this area and she is 6 months pregnant and they had a 3 year old with them in the ER. So, I offered to keep their little girl and she spent the night leading to Kaileigh's first sleep over which was a blast...we had fun and so did the girls. But, I am still a little tired for the whole event!

As I has shared in an earlier post Kalebh accept Christ into his heart and he went forward this last Sunday to share with the church and will be baptized on October
31st by my Daddy. Going to be such a sweet sweet day.

So, Sunday being such an exciting day we ended it with the annual all church picnic...It was a blast..always is...we had a softball game, supper, hay ride and then end with a camp fire...It is always a great time. Well, I had left the softball game to take sweet Kaileigh to the bathroom and while I was gone Kalebh got beamed in the chest with a softball. So....to say the least it is a good thing I wasn't down there. Here is his mark to show for it...Kalebh was a trooper once he got his breath back he just kept on playing!!

Now last but not least...Kalebh has this spot on his knee. He was born with it and it has just grown and gotten bigger over the 7 years. So, we have been watching it and had agreed with the Doctor that we would just leave it and hope it went away. Well, it hasn't gone away and it has only gotten bigger and has started to cause Kalebh some pain when he runs and moves his knee alot.

So, we went to see a plastic surgeon and they are going to cut it out. They will have to cut his knee in four places to make an area big enough to go in and get it out. This will all take place at an out patient place. Actually the same place I had my gallbladder removed. So, we feel good about that. However, while the Doctor was telling us what he was going to do I looked at Kalebh and I said "Kalebh do you have any questions" and Kalebh said..."uh I am not comfortable with any of this" sweet boy. So the Doctor explained that he will be asleep during all of this and it will be just fine. I am wondering if they are going to put me to sleep too??? Kalebh will be down for 8 days after this is done...so what does down mean...I have no idea...we have a list of questions to ask when they call to set up the surgery. I think Kalebh will do fine it is his mother I am worried about!

So, while we were in this plastic surgeons office Chad and Kalebh realized how "surprised" people can look. So they have been working on their "face-lift" look....let me know what you think....Lets just say I was embarrassed before the day was over.

Thanks for sharing in our joy....our silly-ness, and for loving us.

Happy Fall!!!

Fall is here and I love it! Here are a few pictures of all the Fall "Happenings" around our house...We are loving the 70's weather...but, I don't want it to get much colder! Ah well, it will do what it is going to do. Kalebh and Kaileigh are full of life. Kalebh had a football game tonight and scored a touchdown! We were all happy!
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from this weekend trip to the Pumpkin Patch.

VERY exciting news...from Kalebh

I want to start this post off with some VERY exciting news from Kalebh Joshua Cook. But, I want to share a little first. I have been doing this bible study at church on Monday nights about hearing the voice of God. And to start the study off it asked us to make a list of things we wanted to hear from God during this study. And one of those things is I needed to hear and feel a peace about Kalebh's salvation. Kalebh has been asking a lot of questions and really learning in Sunday School, Bible Drill and RA's about becoming a Christian. Anyway, I just have been praying that God would use Chad and I and others to draw Kalebh to himself today....and so with all of that...Kalebh asked Jesus into his heart today! During church he told me he wanted to talk to Chad and I about it...so when we got home and Kaileigh went out side to boss the cats around we took that time to talk to Kalebh and Chad prayed with him ask he asked Christ to come into his heart and save him from all the "bad" stuff he has done and will do. So sweet and made a momma cry...but here is a picture of the two as they finished up.

As Chad and I talked to him about starting a class at church to learn more about his life as a Christian Chad also asked if my Dad would baptize him. This surprised me because I thought Chad would want to...but it means so very much to me that Chad wants my Daddy to do it...Gee I am just crying sitting here...such a sweet sweet Day October the 3rd is!

Dear Lord,

Thank you for entrusting Kalebh to Chad and I. Thank you for allowing us to live in a place that he can see others serve you and love you openly. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of Kalebh coming to understand who you are and who you want him to be. Thank you for loving me and thank you for sending your Son to die for us that we can be a part of your unfailing love.

Amen!
