The Big 2nd Grader!!!

Well, today is the first day of school…I have been at work for a week but Kalebh started 2nd grade today….so sad! Sniff!
Kalebh got up and had a mean breakfast…Cinnamon toast! Then we headed off for the day. As he and I were walking into my classroom I asked him….Kalebh do you want me to walk you to your class….he said…..hmm…hmm…well Mom I am a big man…I mean boy. I said…I understand I just wanted to ask….he said….Mom I am just trying to do this the easiest way so you don’t cry….sweet boy!

I had a great day...it is always exciting to start a new year...but it is always hard the first week to get in the groove of things...I am excited about this year. I hope Kalebh has a great year....

Kalebh came in reporting about his day....they got to go outside two times!!! One time because they were so good....which is hard to believe..you would understand if you knew all the boys in his class! Anyway, he loved outside time, and he loved lunch....no science today which he is looking forward to so that brings some excitement for tomorrow. The science teacher has a ferret which he thinks is going to be great.....Anyway, things are wayyyy different in 2nd grade is what he told me....so I asked him a question my Daddy always asked me after school....son did you learn anything....he said...nope! I said well great....you get to go back tomorrow!!! and so we will...Oh chicken nuggets and ice cream for lunch...I'm so glad school started so he will eat healthy...bahhbahhbahh!!!

Funny Kaileigh!

Two short funny KK stories....

We are sitting in the living room and she comes in to report that Kalebh's room isn't clean...I remind her that her room isn't that clean...she proceeds to tell me more about Kalebh's room and I respond with....don't be a tattle tale....she looks behind her...and at me and says....I don't have a tail!

I am in the bathroom putting make up on and she is talking to Kalebh...I don't know what Kalebh said but she looked at him and put her hands on her hips and said....If you don't stop I am going to hit you like a pinata (spelling?? you know the think you hit with candy in it)....crazy girl....I ask her if she even knows what that is and she say nope!

Okay one more story....she has two boyfriends...Landry and Maison...she had to get Maison because she said Landry wasn't home enough...anyway she is telling Edith all about this and Edith tells her that it isn't against the law to have two boyfriends....she is till mad at Gammy a few days later :)

Travel/Fun Day!

We sadly left Houston today and headed to San Antonio. We had a nice drive. Traffic wasn't bad and the drive wasn't too long! We all had a nice time in the car. I don't think we even had one fight :)
We checked into our hotel room and it was SOO COOL. As many of you know Chad is a lover of the Keurig and well guess what they had in our room for our coffee pot....a Keurig.





When you look out our patio this what you see...the river and the pool. It is so pretty and the only bad thing is the kids don't fall for "the pool is closed" when they can see there are people in it!





Tonight we headed out to the River-walk and ate at Casa Rio's which was wonderful. We ate out side with all the other hot people and then rode the boat which both kids thought was great and Chad and I enjoyed...alot of neat history!




Tomorrow we plan on doing whatever we want. We plan on swimming, shopping, sleeping in and then whatever else we want to do. The kids are tried out and so we will just wait and see what tomorrow holds! Hope you are all having a wonderful week! I love comments on my post if you can figure it out...because I can't....but anyway I love to know people are reading all this crazy stuff!

Hang out Day

Today was just a day to hang out with Aj Bobby and the kids! We started out by getting up and around and going to the cheesecake factory. Those of you that know me...know that is my favorite place! Anyway AJ and Bobby had given me a ton of gift cards there for my birthday so we went and had a great time. Baily loved the banana cheese cake too!!! We shopped a little and then headed back to the house for a rest and then we headed out to Kemah one of my other favorite places. We rode the train there and Chad and Kalebh did a roller coaster ride while there to. Kaileigh and I passed on that part and volunteered to go get the AC going in the car....did ya'll know it is HOT down here???
All in all it was a great time. I enjoyed spending the day with AJ and her family and my kids had a great time with them. Bailey is so funny. She is for sure alot like me she loves to, eat, talk, go and laugh! She is going to be the life of the party!

We also went to the Bass Pro Shop! I got some great pictures there too I will put out on facebook...some time! I thought I would have time on vacation to do something things in the picture department and well...I have taken a ton and that is it! Ah well...Anyway this one of Kalebh is my favorite!

Astro's Game minus Brekman!

Today was bitter sweet. It just wasn't the same for us to watch the Astro's without number 17 out on 1st base. However, we had a great time and got to see the new first base man hit his first every MLB hit, we saw a grand-slam and a home run by Pence. All in all it was a wonderful day in the ball park. The best part is that we were altogether. Bailey was so good. She just yelled and laughed until the 7th inning where she said enough she was ready to go home.
We got to the park early so that Kalebh could try and get some autographs and watch some batting practice. It was awesome. We were right on the fence where you could see everything. He ended up getting 4 autographs. I went and hung out at the dugout and made friends with one of the security people and we got to talking. He told me who would sign and when to ask and it was down hill from there. Kalebh also go to run the bases after the game. He thought that was grand. I love being at a baseball game it just makes you feel American. The best part about the Astro's park is it has AC baby! They opened the roof after the game was over and Kalebh was running the bases and oh my it got HOT! All in all it was a great day and we all had a wonderful time. We are already to go back to another game. We are thinking about getting tickets to see Berkman in Dallas soon...so we will see. Here are a few pictures from the ball-park.
