The after mass!

This is "us" on the Polar Express! We had soo much fun!!!

Next is a picture of Matty, Callie and Ali checking out Callie's new iPod touch....These are my 3 fav. people in Clovis...okay next to my Granny!

Next is a picture of Kalebh all ready for Santa....Kaileigh went to bed early and then almost caught Santa as he left the house!

There really isn't much to talk about the week after Christmas. We are cleaning house and moving things around. We also hope to take down our Christmas stuff this week as well. We will see. The biggest thing we have done is taken down bunk beds and put up a bed for Kalebh. He loves it and hasn't moved from his room since...so we love it too :) One thing I would ask is that you pray for a Jr. High Boy that goes to our Church. His name is Tarrent Adams. Tarrent is ate up with an infection and they are working hard to keep him 1. Alive and 2. getting better. Tarrent was put in the hospital with a blood count of 4. He is in ICU and will be for another week or more. Please pray for this family.
Here are some pictures of things that have happened over the last few days.

Merry Christmas

Can you believe? It has come and almost gone? We wait all year...we work for months to decorate just prefect, plan the food, getting the right gift for every person and then in a couple of minutes the gifts are all opened, the food is all ate and ....it is over! It just proves the point that it isn't all about gifts and food...it is about the gift that was given to us many years ago and that lives! I am so thankful to have that gift that allows me to me a mother, daughter, wife and friend. I hope you and your family are blessed this Christmas as well.

We have had a wild few days. We took off on Tuesday to my Grandma's and spent the night. We did Christmas there and it was fun! The kids had a great time...We then went from New Mexico back to Texas and has Christmas with Chad's dad's family. It was a nice time as well. Kalebh loves playing with all the kids there! Then it was home to have Christmas here and that we did. Santa came last night and Kaileigh almost caught him...she is once fast little girl. But, most off all Chad's mom, and Grandparents, my parents and Grandma and then a man in our church that is very dear to my heart came for lunch. I love having family and friends in my home! It just makes me happy! Chads' mom did alot of the work for me and she was a BIG help...but I just loved every minute of it! Anyway Christmas was great. I haven't left my house ALL DAY!!!!

The kids and Chad and I went on the Polar Express on Sunday and it was soo much fun. Kalebh loved it...Kaileigh not so much! She could have really done without the whole thing. She didn't talk to santa and she slapped an elf but the rest of us enjoyed. I have a friend that I got to know by hosting a Southern living party at my house lost her precious little girl about 7 months ago. As Christmas time has gotten closer the more she has been on my heart. Anyway she sent me an email telling me to take pictures and video and I just cried the whole time I read her email...she is so right every second of our lives are very special either now...or later! Anyway to say the least...I have a ton of pictures and even more video so I will have lots of pictures over the next few days. So keep posted. Right now my SD card is in my NEW picture frame...so I will post them later. Anyway...love life we are only promised this moment.

Merry Christmas and my the Christ of Christmas be in your lives each day of the new year!

The start of CHRISTMAS!!!

This is going to be short because as I type we are getting ready to leave for the polar express. We are sooo excited. Kaileigh has had a nap and we are all ready to G --- O! But, I had to put a few pictures up first. We had Christmas with Chad's Mom side of the family last night and my mom and dad stopped by to drop of gifts for later in the week. So here are a few pictures. We also had a program and class party this week. To end with opening presents. Kalebh was opening a gift and it was clothes. His eyes held disappointment as any 5 year old would be when his sister just got a really cool baby doll. So then he went to opening something different and didn't think it was a toy. He told Chad..."Daddy I just want a toy!" So anyway he opened it to find a harmonica and screamed...."I've wanted one of these my whole life." oh the joy of Christmas in a child's eyes.
Kaileigh got bows and as you can see she had to have EVERY ONE of them in her hair at one time!!! Have a great day. I am sure I will have stories after we take a train ride to the north pole tonight!!!

Please....let it be over!

Oh I am counting the hours till we are out of school. Don't get me wrong I love my job and for the most part I like my students and the people I work with but we ALL NEED A BREAK.
Today was the all school sing and Kalebh was so cute. He did a great job. However, when we got to school I was informed that Kalebh was in trouble standing out in the hallway of his class. So, I later find out that he got in trouble for...here is Kalebh's side of the story...."Mom, I finished my work and I was going to go get something to do at my desk and as I was walking to get something I just felt like I HAD to do the Chicken Dance Song...." so....he deserved to be in the hall....I tried to keep from laughing but I know he shouldn't be doing things like that. However, it is the week of Christmas break give the kids some free time. Anyway, half a day tomorrow and it will all be over for two weeks. We are looking forward to resting some while we are off. I got a good book to read and lots of cleaning out to do. Hope you all have a wonderful week. I am sure I will have great stories to report as the week goes on. Here is a picture of Kalebh dressed for his program.

Christmas is about ...

It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas. It is a warm 15 degree's this morning. I am telling you I HATE the cold. I love the fall weather but if I had to decide between Summer and Winter it would be Summer hands down. It even snowed in Deer Park where my sister lives. Crazy!
It has been a wild few days. Fun, but wild. I don't even really know where to start.
Kalebh -- He is sure ready for school to be out. He woke up yesterday and asked "How many more days do I have to do this?" We went to the Jr. High basketball game last night and watched his cousin Kameron play and we all had a great time. Kalebh and I got into a conversation about what Christmas is all about it. He was watching a show that was kind of making fun of Christmas so I made him turn it off. We then started talking about Christmas and he said well mom it is all about money...hmmm. So we talked about Jesus and his birthday and that it isn't about Monday, or Santa at all. Lots to take in and learn for that little boy. This week he has a school Christmas program on Thursday we are really looking forward to that. Then Friday is his class party. Sunday we go on the Polar Express and we cannot wait!!!
Kaileigh -- She is starting to feel better and is eating like a mad women. She is getting back to her old self. This cold weather is still giving her some trouble with her ears but all in all she is feeling better. She is sooo ready to jump into the presents under the tree. She is going to be so much fun to watch this year. She has decided she LOVES to have her hair fixed so I included that picture!
Chad -- Still busy bringing in Cotton Seed. But, has slowed down some. We had our youth Christmas party here at our house Sunday and it was a lot of fun. We had 16 or so people here for lunch and we exchanged gifts. Then some stayed and watched a movie. It really was fun.
Katie -- I am so glad my finals are over and I did well in all my classes. So, I have a few weeks before I start all over again. But, I am going to enjoy it while I am off. There is a few books I want to read and movies to watch so I plan to do that over Christmas break. We will be traveling a little but all before Christmas. Once December 25th gets here we aren't going any where. Chad will have to work but the kids and I can just play! We have a Christmas brunch as school tomorrow and I am going to finish my Christmas shopping today but other than that bring on Christmas.

Hope you each take the time to enjoy the season and your family. Life is too short to be in a hurry all the time! Please send Christmas Cards. That is on of my favorite things about Christmas is hearing from all my friends and family. I hang them up each year and enjoy it so much. Love you guys!

It....is...OVER!!

Okay, final was taken last night and it is over wahoo!! I am so glad. Not sure yet what my grade is but I will be happy with and C and gladly go on my way to next semester! I do feel better about it because they were questions straight off of our other exams which is what I studied from. So that helped!
There were lots of events over the weekend I wanted to blog about but time to sit down and do it wasn't available so you are having to get those stories now.
Saturday Chad had to work some and the kids and I were at home. The annual heath fair was going on at the school and Kalebh got a ticket at school to go. He told me "I got a free ticket so we have to go" well, everyone is free BUT he wanted to go. I had alot to get done for the next day and so I told him I didn't think we were going to go and he broke down and said....or cried "now I will have to tell Mrs. Hunter that my mom wouldn't take him to the health fair." So, what do you think we did....we went to the health fair! We saw a put show and got a frog tattoo on his face and everyone was happy!
After we got home I fixed lunch for the kids and Kaileigh had chicken and ketchup....well you see the picture below. She decided she would throw the chicken out and just have ketchup...can you tell?
Sunday night Kalebh had his first ever Church program. It was really cute and the kids and adults that put it together. Kalebh had his own fan section. We are looking forward to the ALL Kindergarten program here in just a few weeks.
Elf -- What do you say...it is the cutest thing I have ever seen. It is called The Elf on the Shelf. We have had more fun with this thing. The short story is that this Elf shows up around Christmas time to watch and see if you are good or bad. And then at night after everyone is asleep he flys to Santa and reports then returns the next morning to hide in a different place and you have to find him. We are having so much fun with him....you name your Elf and Kalebh named him Eddie. Too cute...if you have kids this is a great thing...you should look for it...They have them at gifts shops, book stores places like that.
Okay last but not least. Last night while I was at school the other 3 cooks watched some Wrestling. This isn't something I really like them to watch so they have to squeeze it all in while I am gone to school. Well, last night after I got home I hit the recall button and what do you think came on....You guessed it...Wrestling. Anyway, Kaileigh would throw herself down on the floor an BEG her brother to jump on top of her like he was holding her down for 3 counts. Anyway she was too funny dancing and acting like she was a wild wrestling girl. My kids make life so wild but so fun at the same time!
I know this time of year is busy but take time to enjoy everything that this season brings. We are thinking we will get snow for the first time today so we will see. Kalebh is very hopeful and I am not. If I can't wear flip flops I don't like the weather!

Pictures are of the different events of the weekend!

Love you all,

Happy December

Happy December! Yea! I just LOVE this time of the year. I think because it is the time of the year that family makes time for family. I love my family and we love being together. I think most of the year we are all so busy with every day things that we don't make time for each other. Anyway, along with December comes craziness as well. At school the kids are wild. They want this, they don't want to do that, how many days till we get out of school...and the sad thing....teachers are just as bad :) We have something every weekend until Christmas. Kalebh has his first ever Christmas Program Sunday and we are all so very excited about it. Then the next week we have youth stuff plus the musical I am singing in. So just wild but all very fun. I love wrapping gifts as well. So I guess you get the point... I LOVE CHRISTMAS!! Not only for family, fun and all that goes with us but it is a great time to stop and thinking about all we have been blessed with, given and be thankful for the fact that Jesus came to live, die and save us.
Had class last night. Didn't do as well as I had thought on my last test so I am a little let down with myself but such is life. Today I plan to clean and study for my final next week.
My aunt reminded me of a funny story I didn't include in my last blog....We were all sitting over at my Granny's house and Kaileigh was getting a little close to the outlet plug. Kalebh at this time starts screaming at Kaileigh "STOP DON'T DO THAT...SOMEONE GET HER" Chad at this time says.."Kalebh it is OKAY." Kalebh then looks at him with the most disgusted face and says..."DO YOU JUST WANT HER TO DIE?" oh that kid is soooo funny. He takes that job as big brother to heart and does the best job he knows how...when he wants to.
Well, I hope you all have a wonderful week. It shall get wild from here out so hold on, but try to remember the reason for the season.
Love you all.
Great Nap for Chad and Kaileigh after Thanksgiving lunch!

The Count Down Starts....NOW

Hello...I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I did. We (the Cook family) spent Thanksgiving in Clovis at my Grandma's. We had a wonderful time. My aunt and her family also live there so I got to be with everyone on my Dad's side of the family except his younger brother. My cousin Matt got engaged a few weeks back and so now we have a new (almost) family member...we can't wait...Her name is Callie and she is wonderful and beautiful and she adds to Matty's happiness which brings me great joy...I just LOVE her. Kalebh is going to be in the wedding... Matt had to promise to watch Transformers with him over Thanksgiving but he did and Kalebh said last night...."I'll do it ONLY if Kaileigh does too" So we will see how Kaileigh is acting in August...she might be too much of a 2 year old :) Alicia...AKA Ali and I got to spend some good time together as well. Which as she gets older it seems to be harder to find the time. Kalebh didn't like the fact that she had a JOB!! But, she is took the kids pictures at Sears while we were there and did a wonderful job. I just love my cousins!!! Thanksgiving Day was good...wild but good! We came back to Lockney on Friday and I have NEVER been more glad to sleep in my own bed...it was nice. Oh one more thing about Thanksgiving trip to Clovis...Went to see 4 Christmases..oh my it was SOOO FUNNY. Loved it!
This weekend has been nice to be at home. Chad got the lights up on the house and we are ready for Christmas...My Best Friend Britni called today and I laughed after I got off the phone with her. We were talking about the 3 week count down till Christmas and then the 2 month count down after Christmas till TAKS and then the count down till schools out...I guess we just count our lives away. I miss Britni :(
I am cooking breakfast for a prayer breakfast Chad has for the youth on Monday mornings I don't mind but I sure am sleep. I plan to rest this week some and get ready for my accounting final...PRAY PLEASE! I have it Dec. 8th! All in all everything is well. I hope to have some good stories about Kalebh or even Kaileigh this week. She sure is getting to be a character. Both of my kids are funny. Hey I got my Christmas cards done! All I have to do now is put them in the mail...way to go me!!! Love you all...Happy December 1st in just a few hours.

Pictures -- Some Ali took and a picture of the "sooo in love couple" Matt and Callie

Long time no....Post

Well...this has been lets call it a rollercoster of a weekend. I was glad it was Friday. BUT, Kalebh woke up with pink eye and had to miss his first day of school for the year, my mom had to go home and it started a not so great weekend. Friday was okay for the most part. I got to wrap presents and get them under the tree which made me happy. Saturday wasn't a great day. Things happened during the day that just didn't set well with me. There is no need to go into all of them. Dishnetwork was suppost to come out Saturday and they did to find out they had NOTHING of what I ordered and after I spent 45 min. on the phone with a lady from India I decided I would wait for the service guy to stop buy. So long story short I spent most of my day waiting to find out nothing was going to get done. THEN I had to go to Walmart....do I need to say anymore? Sunday was better. Church, home, then Thanksgiving service which was very nice and I am ending my weekend with hot cholocate which makes me happy. I was just in the kitchen talk to Chad about how I can make a lot of it to take to work tomorrow. I will get that all worked out some time. I have a sore thoart and I am hoping that gets better soon. Sorry no pictures my camra is dead...it is charging however so I will have some tomorrow. The kids have their pictures taken Tuesday and I am very much looking forward to that and the fact that one of my fav. people in the world will be taking them :)
Happy SHORT week!!!

Wow...what a weekend

Well, I guess you could say this was one heck of a weekend. It started off Friday afternoon taking Kalebh to the doctor to get steroids...Devil juice is what I like to call it...so he has been a hand full this weekend but I think he is feeling better. Kaileigh however is trying to cut some BIG teeth and so she is about as pleasant as you could imagine. But, other than that we have had fun for the most part. Friday Chad got to buy a new TV and he is so excited about it that he can't see straight. We all like it BUT he loves it! My mother in law made me a curtain for my kitchen door that goes into the garage and I love it!!! Chad rearranged the kids rooms and they look great along with me helping move a monster TV thing into Kalebhs room...now that was a job! I have gotten all of my christmas stuff out and up and I am about to work on the outside stuff this afternoon. The kids have been so much fun. Kaileigh walks around saying "wow" all the time. Too funny! Well, I need to get running Chad is ready to get started on the outside Christmas stuff and I don't want his excitement to pass:)

Pictures are of:

Christmas...let it snow!

Okay, really don't let it snow...I am a flip flop girl and I would really hate to pack them up for the winter BUT I am starting to put all my Christmas stuff out around the house to get ready for an open house I am having next week. I am so excited! I have to run to Plainview to pick up a few things but other than that it is Christmas time at the Cook house! Okay here is the run down on everyone...sorry this is going to be short but I have to get in the shower!
Chad -- Still very busy. He was in a meeting until 10:45 last night so he had a long day. He goes for a check up on his toe today. All is better on that but I guess they just have to make sure. He was going to see if he could get it reschedule but I don't know if he did. Chad is our our pastor search committee who is starting to meet and hold interviews. What a stressful job they have!
Kaileigh -- Well we are back to not sleeping. She was up for a while last night. Chad decided to drive her around about 1 am this morning and he said he almost got t!o meet the new city police officer who has only been on the job since the 1st. Chad said he kept following him around. I just laughed because who is out just driving block to block at 1am. Anyway, Kaileigh has pink eye so we are dealing with that but other than that she is the same funny little girl.
Kalebh -- He is having a hard time breathing with all this dust in the air. Breathing treatments every morning but he is doing good. The teacher told him it was all this nasty stuff in the air that was giving him such a hard time...and Kalebh replied...well, this stuff in the air is what makes my dad money...sad but he is right. Kalebh got his report card yesterday and as far as kinder. goes it was great! IF you can imagine he got an S- in controls talking. (Just like his momma)
Katie -- I am good. Excited about getting my Christmas stuff out, a hair cut and staring my Christmas shopping. I am a little tried but other than that I am really good.
Aj -- She has been going to the doctor everyday this week with a bladder infection but she was feeling better last night! Mom and Dad are headed to California today for more meetings.

The picture is of the kids with Barney at Pumpkin Days.

Hope you all have a wonderful day

My own little Kramer!!!

So I call my children blessings and I am blessed to have them both...but boy do I feel tired after a day of work, kids, classes, and grocery shopping. Well, we have decided that Kaileigh is our little Kramer -- Picture to follow. She is so funny and brings such life to this family. As does Kalebh as you can see as well. I love my life and yesterday I was kind of cranky but today was better. I am looking forward to spending the day with Kalebh tomorrow. He as an appointment in Lubbock so we will be together most of the day and I am excited. I am going to get new shoes too. Flip flops are getting a little cold. I hate shoes but gotta have them. My mom said there would come a day that I would want comfy and not cute and I think I am there :) No really funny stories to tell today but I am sure there will be some to come. But, a joke one of my kids at school told me today: why didn't the turkey finish his lunch??? Because he was stuffed!!!! Ha ha!!!
A few prayer request.
Aj -- As they deal with a changing time in their lives.
Mom and Dad -- As they are serving on the IMB this week
Chad -- As he is super busy that God would give him rest.

Love to you all,

Momma Said There Would Be Days Like This...

Oh my goodness where to start. I guess I could start with these awful headaches I have been having...gee those really need to stop! I couldn't even lift my head of the the pillow the last one I had. Okay so the last tonight night Kaileigh has slept about 4 hours total. I don't do well with this. Chad has been up with her the most however but you still can't sleep when there is a little girl walking around the house saying....HI!!! Chad is super busy with cotton business and he is filling in tonight for the pastor. So he is crazy busy. I have homework and an exam tomorrow and I have had NO time to study really. So I guess we are just going to hope for the best. I am tired and want a vacation...I would love to go see my sister right now! I am so sad my mom and dad are there now....oh well my time will come:)
Kalebh -- He has been really good. He got paid yesterday his weekly allowance and so he is still doing good on getting his jobs done. He is playing the Wii right now. He loves that thing!
Chad -- Busy I haven't seen him much. The time I saw him yesterday was spent watching Texas Tech...How about them Red Raiders???
Katie -- Tired, a little stressed about homework but ready to put Christmas stuff out SOON.
Kaileigh -- I saved her for last for a reason. She LOOKED so cute this morning. See Chad was gone to a Gin and so I had to get everyone ready for church. (being a single mom is NOT for me...Chad is safe here) Anyway it was wild but she looked so cute. We got to Church with our shoe boxes for the O.C.C project they were busting open so it was a job. Anyway. Chad had a meeting after church and so the kids and I just got lunch at DQ and came home. Kaileigh had chicken and gravy with french fries. She had gravy every where!!! I mean everywhere....so I just put her in the bath tube. At this time Chad leaves to go back to the Gin. My house was a mess from lunch and Kaileigh was really a mess. Anyway while she is in the bath tub she decides she needs to poop. So she does half of that in the bath tub...so now not only do I have a messy kitchen to clean up I have even a bigger mess in the bathroom. I put her on the pot and she finishes her job there and in the mean time she decides to get up while I am cleaning out the bath tub. She then slides of the pot onto the floor and hurts her back...she is ok just cried for a while. I have to put her back into the tub (the clean one) and wash her hair and body...oh it was awful..all the while I just want to cry! Oh well...Momma said there be days like this...wild day and Kaileigh isn't even acting like she wants a nap...gee....Hope your Sunday is as eventful as mine :)

Pictures -- Kaileigh cute!! Before the eventful lunch time
Other picture -- Kaileigh wearing the Gravy face peel!

Staying Faithful

Oh how many times I feel like throwing the towel in. Today is one of those days. I am tried, feel like we never stop and just want a break. But, we much remain faithful to the things we have committed ourselves to. Tomorrow night we have a big summer fundraiser...bake potato supper. The kids have done a great job selling tickets so well that I am in a bind for more potato's and food all the way around. So...I am off to take care of that in just a little bit. I have a meeting at Wayland and I want a hair cut really bad. The important things in life. So anyway I just think in these times Satan is really trying to get me. We had 49 kids last night at youth. Wow...and oh my....it was fun but that is a lot of kids to shove into our little youth room. Enough of my crying!
Chad -- well lets see this morning he has already had a trucker quit or he more or less fired him...be chewed out and had a farmer ask him to give him the sky! Okay not really but you know. So he is as wonderful as you can imagine. He is also going to the foot doctor because I have been on him about it...so I am sure he is thrilled about that as well!
Kalebh -- Has had a really good week. Made a 100 on his library book test this week and is fired up about the last football game. We are just holding on till Friday...I am ready for Basketball...indoor sport! Kalebh was very disappointed that McCain didn't win we aren't sure if that is really it or the fact that he told his WHOLE class the if "the other guy" wins we are losing our money, guns and he doesn't love God!!! So who really knows what that kid thinks!
Kaileigh -- Has learned to say stop...oh she thinks that is so funny. I was walking to the kitchen last night and she yelled...stop!!! and then just laughed. She really keeps me grounded. She has gone from Daddy girl to Momma girl and there is nothing like a little girl throwing their arms around their momma!!! I still like to :)
Me -- Well, as if you can't figure it out I am tired and a little cranky! But, I just read the journey for today and I am feeling better. It was crazy...it was about there are days we feel God is a million miles away but we have to keep moving...that is right where I am today!
Pictures -- These are pictures that just make me smile.
Kalebh and Bobby -- at the Astros game this summer
Kaileigh -- Looking very cute in her shades!!

hmmm....where did the extra hour go?

Okay...so it is fall back time change? I lost the hour some where. See we had a fall fest. Saturday night and had a booth and so we didn't get home until 9. Well, the Tech and UT game was at the same time. So thank goodness for the DVR. Once we all got home Chad and I watched the game and didn't go to bed till 1am. So we didn't gain any time. Last night however we were all in bed before 10!!!
Kalebh -- He had a great weekend! Lots of fun and had a great day at school today. Finished his work on time and brought some really good looking papers home. He got to play outside and played football on the Wii so he is a happy little man!
Kaileigh -- Has become a momma's girl! It has really been kind of nice to be the one she wants. But, when I left for class tonight she cried and it really made my heart hurt. But, she has been good.
Chad -- Had his first big cotton run so he was busy today with that and then sampling other cotton. Followed by a flat tire! Always nice to have those things come up.
Katie -- I am sad. I got my first accounting test and I didn't do as well as I had hoped. I did better than most in my class but still. Followed by finding out that the practice set that is 12% of our grade isn't due till next week after the prof. told me it was due tonight. I plan on working some more on it this week so we will see. I have to go get stuff for the potato supper tomorrow and then work on corrections for my test too. I am just a bummed little girl!
A.j. -- Aj went to the doctor today and found out she is having a girl!!! Yea...they are so easy to buy for...I am sad for Kalebh he wanted a boy...he is the only boy on both sides of our families but that is okay. Maybe God knows we can only handle one! Who knows.
Since this is a rather uneventful entry I am going to put past pictures of things that I didn't have post about. Hope you all have a wonderful week!

We've Been Boo-ed

What a week this has been!!! I hate to wish my life away but I am sure glad this one is behind us! The kids had a lot of fun doing different things this week. We stayed home last night and had a nice time being together. Kalebh and I are in the middle of making Halloween cookies. I know we are one day behind the rest of the world but Lockney does Trick or Treating on the Saturday AFTER Halloween ever year.
Booing -- Thursday night Kalebh and I were reading his library book, Chad and Kaileigh were in the living room when we hear this BIG knock at the door. Chad gets up and looks and there is a bag at the door. He picks it up and there is a note in there that says "We've Been Boo-ed" Kalebh was so excited. He had noticed that other houses around us had the signs and we didn't so he was thrilled!! We followed the poem and fixed bags to boo two other families. Kalebh and Chad had more fun with this little game. I think it is was a great fun idea for who ever started it. Anyway they went out booing last night and Chad said Kalebh would get so exciting running back to the pick up that he would forget to shut the door. Kalebh told me that God was taking care of them last night. Chad explained that Kalebh would forget to shut the pick up door before they drove off and when they would turn the door shut by itself and Kalebh said "whew thank you God"
Kalebh -- He had his first school party and it was fast and crazy but fun. They had the parade of costumes, the class party and then the black out pep rally. So a great time was had by all. Kaileigh would have been a lot more happy if she could have been out in the middle dancing but she settled for dancing on the side lines.
Chad has gotten a few cotton runs going so his phone has been ringing off the hook today. We have a youth fundraiser tonight at the school fall fest. and then we are sooo happy about the time change. I hope you all have a wonderful November 1st. Thanks giving is just weeks away and Christmas will be here before we know it. I am thankful for each of friends and all my family...In this busy time of year I am challenging myself to remember this is a time to reflect and be Thankful and not to rush to get everything done that doesn't really matter anyway.
Love you all!

Crazy Sock Day....And I mean CRAZY!!!

It is Wednesday...and I have been asking myself all day...isn't it Friday. This is really sad for someone that only works 3 days a week :) Oh well...here is the picture of me and Kalebh in our crazy socks...and a picture of Kaileigh looking very cute for church tonight. She is so sweet. She has made me laugh all day just by being her happy self (most of the time).
Kalebh -- oh goodness...Kalebh...He came home and said he was good ALL day today except when he (and all the other kinder. boys got sent to the principals office) Chad stops and says...What?? Kalebh proceeds to tell us that ALL the boys had to go to the office for a talk about NOT hitting in the private parts. Chad got a big kick out of this. It turns out Kalebh had nothing to do with it but other boys were so...Also on the way home from church Chad stayed to visit with a family and Kalebh is asking what I made for supper and I said nothing...he said WHAT??? That is what ladies are suppose to do...cook....poor kid...he almost got his first slap from his momma!!! And last I over hear Kalebh at school telling another boy that Phil Cotham (who is a friend of our families and happens to be the Superintendent of the school system)is HIS best friend!!! Too funny! That stinker.
Katie -- My week is a little wild but will be MUCH better next weekend. I found help for a project I have due next week!! Things will slow down won't they?
Friday is wear costumes to school day...yippee! So once that is over it has to be better.
Chad-- is really starting to get busy he is glad just hopes some of the cotton is good. We know God has everything in his hands.
Please pray this week for my sister Aj..and her husband Bobby some times life weighs so much on you that you don't think you are going to make it. It really breaks my heart to see her hurt so much. I know that God will bring her the comfort that she needs. Also, pray for Kalebh's teacher Mrs. Hunter. She lost her son about 2 months ago. He passed away due to injures from fighting in Iraq.
Love you all!!!
