Christmas 2010....whew...how fun!

Well WE MADE IT!!! At least most of us...Lets see we spent Christmas Eve morning with my Mom and Dad and then Christmas Eve afternoon with Chad's Dad and company...we had a great time at both places...The kids love to be with MiMi and Popau.....

and they also love being at Nana and Grandpa's and playing with all the kids...we did a have a wonderful time....with each family on Christmas Eve.

Maxine and Richard have Mistletoe hanging up at their house and Kalebh has always thought that is soo soo funny...Anyway, he spent most of Christmas Eve trying to get two people to stand under it...so finally everyone had all they could take and to say the least....they got Kalebh.

What fun!

When we got home from Richard and Maxine's Eddie the Elf had left...but once again he left a farewell presents....Pajamas! We all got some and love them....Eddie also left a letter reminding the kids to listen to their Mom!

The following pictures are just us getting ready for Santa...What fun times these are.

Now Reindeer Feed time...Don't want those guys going hungry...or forgetting about us!

Cookies and Cholclate Milk for Santa...

And you ask what the red is in the other Santa Cup...well, my wonderful husband and kids decided that Fanta was just the drink that Santa loved...so Red Fanta and Choc. Milk is what he got at the Cook's house!

And it worked!!!

Hmm.....was so excited she couldn't get out...

After we got Christmas at our house done and looked at we loaded up and headed to Chad's Sister's to have lunch with them...a great time was had by all but on the way...hmmm the kids pooped out.

So to sum it all up...we had a great Christmas...we saw most of both of our families which ended up in Chad having Strep...bad....and being under the weather most of Christmas Day...We have come to the conclusion that from now on the years that our my families turn we will have Christmas with them at my parents or in Clovis and the New Years with Chad's family...and the other way the next year. It is so so hard to try and do it all...Kaileigh cried for 2 hours Christmas night while we were in Clovis because she just wanted to go home...Lesson learned.

Christmas...Christmas...bring it on!!!

Okay, I love Christmas...I love the cooking making, the cooking, the wrapping presents and all that goes along with that...but the sweetest thing that has happened this Christmas season is hearing my sweet Kaileigh tell people what Christmas really is...Jesus Birthday.....so so sweet and a nice reminder of what it is all about.

There is so much I could tell you but I think at this time I am just going to share pictures to bring you up to date...tomorrow Christmas Eve we are doing Christmas with mom and Dad and then with Chad's Dad's family...we are all excited and ready to just spend time with family...I am going to do my best to take a deep breath and enjoy...

Kaileigh has been convinced she is on the naughty list because...she says she has been naughty....Chad had to spend 30 min and promise to hurt Santa and tie his ears behind his head if he doesn't come see her to get her to go to bed...hahah...so sweet yet I am worried what she will think she can get away with after Santa brings her what she has asked for....a Barbie Jeep....goodness!

At Kalebh's Christmas Party at school

As you all know KK is going to Pre-School at Noah's Ark this year they had Polar Express Day...such a fun day for the kids and KK had lots of stories to tell...here are a few pictures of that...

This is a bouns picture...this past weekend we had our youth Christmas Party and it was a blast...we love these kids with all our hearts and we are so blessed that they share their lives with us...we had alot of fun and here is a picture to show it!

On the youth trip we ran across Santa and saved me a trip to the mall! YAY!!!

Mom and Dad are in town and well that mean presents any time of the year...so why not open one a day early...

The kids were having fun with Popau and I got this great picture of them all laughing!!!

Hmmm....

Sure wish we had some presents to open!! I hope that you all have a Merry Christmas and take time to remember the reason we have Christmas...in the words of Kaileigh...It's Jesus Birthday!!!

This year he brought everyone in the family a movie...Kalebh got Phines and Ferb, Kaileigh got Nick Jr. Friends Christmas, I got Valinties Day and Chad got Grumpy Old Men...bahh!!! Eddie is watching us all! He is in a different spot every day and he fly's back to and gives a report of what is taking place at the Cook house to Santa...this is so much fun...The kids get up every morning excited to see where Eddie is for the day!

Chad's mom is so good at hair and she came by this morning when we were getting ready and braided Kaileigh's hair for the first time...fun! Here it is!

YAY for December

December will be full of excitement with kids and events and all the Christmas brings...I pray however that we will stay reminded of who Christ is and what Christmas is all about....

Having a sweet little girl is so much fun and with that fun comes CHRISTMAS CLOTHES! So, to stay the least I will be taking a picture of her in ever outfit she has because they are so cute and who knows if she will be able to wear them the next year....so beware.....

We have our tree up and have already had homemade Hot Chocolate, Hot Cider and one Christmas party. Chad had his company party last night and it was alot of fun. We went to the Double Nickel Steakhouse which is nice and yummy. Chad's boss stood up to give a speech and then pulled out Tiffany Co. Bags for all the wives...to say the least I was shocked and thrilled....I am sure it will be the only time in my life I will have a Tiffany's Box handed to me :) very nice and thoughtful of his boss and wife. We do have another Christmas Party tonight and then it is on to family time. Aj, Bailey and Mom are on there way tomorrow and I can't wait to see them!!!

So, here is my promise...if my kids can stay health, un--hurt and happy I will do better at posting pictures and events taking place at the Cook house!!!

Here are the rest of the pictures to bring us up to date. Love to all....

November...Better late than NEVER!

I know I know....no post in November! So I will have on make up! November is a Month of Thanks....Chad however has been very bother at the fact we have gone straight from Halloween to Christmas and forget all about Thanksgiving....I wanted to get my Christmas stuff out the first part of November but after A LOT of lectures I decided I would hold off....but he got it out before Thanksgiving and let me put it up so yay! Anyway, we did try and name something we were Thankful for each day...but, what it came down to for me is I am Thankful for my Lord and Savior who allows me to serve him. I am thankful for a Mom and Dad who after MANY years still love each other and set a wonderful example for us as to the way to live our life's. And last but no least I am thankful for my sweet Cook Family....I love each of them and both Kalebh and Kaileigh bring so much joy to Chad and I...and Chad loves me not matter what...he has seen me at my worst and best and still loves me!

Chad and I also celebrated our anniversary in the month of October but it was so crazy with Mom and Aj being so sick and us having Bailey we just kind of over looked it altogether...we love each other and we celebrate lots of times during the year. However, one day at work I got these flowers at work from Mom and Dad...so sweet and pretty too!

Kalebh had knee surgery the week before Thanksgiving. We could have not asked for it to go better. They were able to get the whole spot out of his knee and it took less than an hour. He wasn't in much pain until about 2 weeks out and he is doing better just no running, jumping or major movement for a month. We go back to the doctor the end of December and he will give us the rest of the orders then...but to make the process more fun we decided to decorate his crutches and he loved them....here is a picture.

Because of Kalebh's surgery and the fact he couldn't move his knee much and Kaileigh came down with Strep we decided to stay home for Thanksgiving and so Chad cooked the turkey and it was supper yummy and pretty. It was nice to be home and have a Thanksgiving meal with Chad's family. Chad is always so good to go and be with my family whenever I ask but, it was really nice to see him so happy at home with his family. We were with his mom for lunch and then spent time at his Dad's that afternoon. All in all Thanksgiving was a wonderful day with Family! Missed my Mom, Dad and Sister but glad they all got to get together!

Here is the pretty bird Chad was so proud of!

Let's all remember to be Thankful not just one month out of the year but for the whole year!
