Day 2 -- It is HOT!!

We made it to Aj and Bobby's house! We are loving it. That Erin Bailey is sooo funny and cute and when Mimi isn't around she LOVES me...We spent the afternoon swimming and spending time together it really was alot of fun. Tonight I got my fill of Green Sauce praise the Lord!!!

I have laughed really hard today and love being with my sister. My kids love her. Kalebh and Bobby are battling it out on the Wii. They are about equally competitive. So....we will see how that pans out!

Bailey says...HI and thank you and she calls her Momma Aj hahah so funny to hear that.

Now for the sad news. As we were enjoying dinner tonight I looked up to the big TV and saw Lance Brekman in New York Navy blue! Just made me want to cry. Kalebh can't talk about it without tearing up! It is sad but we are NOT above cheering for the Yankees. We will go and cheer for the Astors and be true fans but will will keep yelling for Lance Brekman as he is who Kalebh wants to be like. Everything happens for a reason and it is part of the game...just hate it!

Tomorrow will be a fun and long day. It is a day Kalebh is looking forward to and has for weeks. Here are the few pictures I got today.

Vacation Day One

Long time! Whew...what a week. We have been in V.B.S. all week which was fun and Kalebh and Kaileigh both loved it! Kaileigh said every night she was going so she could show them how to dance! I have NO idea where she gets that from....Well I write this post as we are on VACATION.... just the four of us! Wahoo! We have all fought the whole way :) Not really. Chad did all the driving today so I tried to read my book and not say much I am sure you can all imagine how that went!

We are spending tonight in the Dallas area. We met my long time best friend and Dad for dinner tonight and I go to go to Charming Charlies!! What a cool place I think I have found a new favorite store! We also got to eat at the cheesecake factory tonight and today is National Cheesecake day so all cheesecake was half off! Anyway, Kalebh loved it and Kaileigh had ice cream...she isn't a cheesecake fan.

We (as an Astro fan family) got some VERY sad news. Lance Berkman has been traded to the New York Yankees. If he had to be traded we would have liked him to do to the Rangers but our second choice would have been the NYY. We LOVE Andy P who pitches for the NYY so now we have even more reason to watch them! However, we were looking forward to watching Lance as an Astro a few more years. I have one heart broken little boy tonight but a few tears and I hope he will be okay!
We all had a great time. More driving tomorrow but here are a few pictures from tonight. Love to all.

Wow! Three years!!! Who would have known it would go by so fast. I want you to know that you bring so much joy, laughter, fun and love to our lives. I love the way you laugh when something is funny, you kiss when we are sad, you make a joke when things are so stressful and how you love when I am not very lovable. You are my little helper in the kitchen. You always want to be doing whatever I am doing and I love every minute of it. God knew what he was doing when he gave you to Daddy and I. We needed you. We love you. Kalebh and you bring so much joy to Daddy and I. You both are so lovable and so forgiving, so joyful and so sweet. I know God has great things in store for you and I can't wait to see what those are. Your curly hair is a mess but fun. You look so cute with those curls all over the place. It has been so much fun and a blessing to watch you grow this last year from baby to little girl. Please always know how much we love you and how every much you mean to us. Daddy and I prayed for you and on July 18th in Lubbock Texas he delivered you to us!

Kaileigh's 3rd Birthday Party

All I have to say is FUN! Kaileigh was so excited when she got her and I had picked up her Barbie cake, had a table set up with barbie things on it and then we had rearranged her room! She just kept walking around saying "thank you Momma thank you" poor dad got left out...but I didn't mind taking all the credit and sweet hugs that came along with the thank yous! We got balloons and that was fun! She did crash for a small nap!



Well the party was a hit...we had a Barbie blast and her room is COVERED in Barbie stuff. I had to go and get 2 more tubs to hold dress up clothes, and barbie goodies.

As my wonderful Cousin Alicia and her boyfriend Ben were getting all the stuff out for us they were working on the barbie remote control car and Kaileigh started having a fit because the Barbies were not buckled up! SO, she does listen to the things I tell her.

Thank to all of you who came. Mom and Dad I know it was a short stay for a long trip. The Clovis bunch thanks...and Matt and Callie thanks for taking time away from your new family member to come :)

So since the party we are still doing swimming lessons, getting ready for a garage sale and enjoying summer. Kalebh is doing well. He is loving swimming everyday and they are both excited about the garage sale however neither one is doing any of the work!





Oh one more thing...here is a picture of Kaileigh and her Boyfriend! She had to have him at her birthday party! Thanks Landry and Bethany for coming...

Kaileigh's Swimming Lessons

Well, we weren't sure if the kid would do well in swimming lessons or not...We know she loves the water but we weren't sure how well she would be at taking orders from someone...But she has proved her self on every level. Loves the water, loves learning and has done a great job at listening...she does NOT get that from her mother..anyway funny story from this week swimming lessons...she doesn't mind blowing bubbles and putting her mouth in but if you has her to go above her nose and eyes she isn't a fan of that. She is good till then...So the teacher Lesca asked her to put her face in the water and swim and she said...no thanks....then she asked her again to put her face in the water...and Kaileigh replies....ummmm I think I better get home! bahhhb...she makes me laugh...She did and was fine just needed a little help. All in all she is doing great and loving it...One more week of lessons.

Next week is going to be wild and crazy but I am coming to terms that is just going to be my life! And I love every minute of it. Family and Friends are coming over tonight to celebrate Kaileigh's 3rd birthday. My Mom and Dad are going to be out of town for her "real birthday" we she is good with having two...she has thought that the whole month of July is her birthday! Anyway more of that to follow...

And Kalebh is good...been with Edith all weekend but I am sure he will have stories to tell when he get home!
